COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Internet has revolutionized world communications and we feel it is our responsibility to present this broadcasting system to our students in a Godly manner. It is essential that our students are aware of its potential and Biblical principles that pertain to its use. It is a tool which will allow our students access to , under the direction of and in the presence of a MLCS teacher, thousands of libraries, databases, museums, colleges, and universities, news, NASA, research institutions and other repositories of information. Research is a very important tool at MLCS and we encourage each student to obtain information from the library, encyclopedias, textbooks and the internet. It is our goal in providing this service to promote educational excellence by facilitating resources sharing, innovation and communication.

PERFORMING ARTS
Laura Brinegar
My name is Laura Brinegar and I run the performing arts program at MLCS. I began my college career at 15 on a music scholarship at Sierra Nevada College and later at the University of Nevada and was a member of the Reno Opera Company. I left college to go on the road as a professional musician and later returned the University of the Pacific to complete my degree majoring in education with a minor in music.
Our program at MLCS has an emphasis on performance based education. I believe music is meant to be performed and enjoyed and children learn best when working together to perfect an artistic program to be shared. Our school presents two musicals during the school year which are student driven. From acting, choreography, singing, lighting, sound, and sets our students are trained to be active participants in each production.
